Respect
June 3rd, 1995- April 2003
My first Ridgeback and a true ambassador for the breed.

I got Respect shortly after a trip to Jamaica. While we were in Jamaica I asked what Respect meant because the natives seemed to use that word a lot. I was told that it was a greeting. It was a way to say Good Day or Everything is Good. When Respect entered my life I found that Everyday was a good day with him. That is how he was named. Respect was an amazing dog...in fact he was more than just a dog. He was a noble, intensely loyal, Virtuous animal. Respect is the inspiration behind my kennel name Vyrtuous.

My friend and constant companion

Respect awaits me over the Rainbow Bridge.....
